SAINTS BOARDING

News from Brett Toombs

Director of Boarding

Exeat Weekend

It's the mid-term Exeat Weekend. All residences were closed by 4.30pm today and all boarders will spend the weekend with family and/or friends. The residences will re-open on various days for boarders as St Augustine’s and St Monica’s have different programs for Monday 22 May.

Girls’ Residences

St Monica’s College has school on Monday and will run its usual Monday program. Therefore, all girl boarders are expected to be back in Boarding by 8:00pm on Sunday night. If students wish to return on Monday morning before school, communication and a REACH request must be made to Mrs Price or Ms Luff. The residences will re-open at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon for the girls. Transport will be available from the airport for those arriving on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Boys’ Residences

St Augustine’s College has a Student-Free Day on Monday and therefore boys are not expected back until Monday afternoon from 4:00pm. Like other free and exeat weekends, boys must be back by 8:00pm on Monday night unless there has been communication with Mr King or Mr Lawrence.

As the boys’ residences will be closed on Sunday night, boys will not be able to return any earlier than Monday afternoon. Transport will be available from the airport for those arriving on Monday afternoon/evening.

Parents/Carers are asked to forward flight/bus itineraries to the respective Heads of Residence so transport for outgoing and incoming travel for this weekend can be finalised.

Boarder of the Week

As is tradition, the Boarder of the Week Awards were presented to our Junior and Senior students after Mass for the past two Sunday nights. The nominated students have been instrumental in making the boarding community a better place to be due to their positive and infectious attitudes. Well done to the following students:

Junior Girl – Learna Brank, Nadia Nupiri.

Senior Girl – Lilly See Kee, Brienna Gould.

Junior Boys – Ryan Knuckey and Levi Lergessner.

Senior Boys – Ned Nancarrow and Tali Ahmat.
