Principal's Update

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all well. I can’t believe this is our last newsletter for the term.

Looking back, we have had lots going on and many things to be proud of. The students need a big pat on the back for their hard work and resilience across the term. I would also like to congratulate the students who received their EMMAC badge at the last assembly for having 100% attendance this term. This is an enormous effort!

EMMAC Winners

I’d like to give a huge congratulations to 12S on winning the EMMAC award for Term 1. They have gone to the Cobram Cinemas this morning to watch ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’. A reminder to parents that an explained absence does not count against a classes total for the week. All you need to do is ring, send a note or put the absence in Compass.

Easter Raffle

Our student leaders are currently assisting with the running of the Easter Raffle, selling tickets at recess and lunchtime for $1 each. Thank you to the Parents and Friends Committee,  who organised an Easter Basket as the prize. The winner will be drawn at the end of lunch break tomorrow, Thursday 6th April.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Thank you to those families who made appointments to come along to our Parent Teacher Interviews last week. This was a fantastic opportunity to meet with your child's teacher to discuss progress over the term and goals for next term. If you were unable to attend the Parent Teacher Interviews please contact the teacher at the start of Term 2 to arrange another time.

Building Works

We have been busily moving through the building works process for our government funding that we received in 2021. The refurbishment to the Administration Area is well underway, and we hope to be back in the building by Term 4.

Over the last 2 weeks the demolition to the Junior Building has commenced, with internal fittings being removed. Over the school holidays the demolition of the building structure will occur. We are excited to return in Term 2 to see the work that has been done!

Term end and start

Today is our last day for Term, with school finishing at the normal time of 3:20 pm. Our first day for Term 2 will be Monday 24th April.

Have a safe and happy holidays!
