YR 12

Gemma Napolitano has been selected as one of twelve girls from around Australia to participate in what the Australian Girls Choir calls their ‘reverse travel program’. The girls will be travelling to Carnarvon in Western Australia to meet up with their Girls from Oz (g-oz) ‘sisters’ and spend the week singing, dancing, performing, and cultural learning.

Gemma will be heading there from May 27- June 3 as part of National Reconciliation Week. G-oz is a philanthropic arm of the Australian Girls Choir that delivers high-quality performing arts education to girls who lack access to these opportunities because of their location or socioeconomic status.

G-oz’ current program is focused on engaging Indigenous girls and young women from the remote towns of Halls Creek, Carnarvon and Bidyadanga in WA, and Lockhart River and Kowanyama in QLD.

Watch the tour that the girls did to Halls Creek in the Kimberley in 2019 this documentary-style piece.

Good luck Gemma, can’t wait to hear how the week went
