Year 11 and Year 12

I have offered any of our interested Year 11 and Year 12 students the opportunity to complete their RSA certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol) at Glen Eira College this month. Completing this qualification helps improve students' employment opportunities in a variety of industries, as it is a mandatory requirement for anyone who is employed to serve, sell, or provide alcohol. This certification opens more employment opportunities for our students within the hospitality, retail and events sectors and provides them with additional skills and knowledge as they start preparing for life after school.

The last few years that we have been offering this course to interested students, the uptake for this certificate has always been very popular and well received. Many of our students who have completed their RSA certificates over the past few years have been able to use these qualifications and step up within their current workplaces or have been able to secure casual employment in these industries, as they already have the required certificate.

Year 10 Work Experience

Recently Year 10 students completed work experience placements across a variety of different industries and workplaces around Melbourne. It was a great experience to see the students interacting and working in a professional environment and gaining confidence outside of the classrooms. Please find below some more photos of students on their placements.
