Who's Who in the Primary?

Hello, I am the College Counsellor and have the lovely privilege of helping our students to navigate difficult situations and emotions. I am also trained as a teacher but after raising 6 children counselling felt like a better fit. 

What is your favourite colour? 

Green 

What is your favourite movie/song/book?

My favourite movie is Matilda and I also loved seeing this performed live. I have too many favourite songs to choose just one, but I'm enjoying listening to Vance Joy and Neko Case at the moment. My favourite book would be Oh, the Places You'll Go! because it is joyful and optimistic.

Are you a sweet tooth or a savoury person?

I am definitely a foodie who loves most food, but I probably prefer savoury foods. 

How do you relax and unwind?

I am most relaxed at our shack, near the water and surrounded by nature. I love reading, gardening and fishing with my husband.

When was the last time you smiled or had a big belly laugh?

I am a smiley person and I laugh many times each day. I have a big loud laugh that my friends and family all know very well. 

What are you most looking forward to this year

I am retiring at the end of term so I will have a lot of time to spend with my chickens, dog, cat and family. Christmas at our home is a big noisy celebration that I always look forward to.

What quote, line from a song or motto sums you up?

"Always look on the bright side of life",  "Kindness matters" and "Think before you speak" are a few sayings that I try to live by. 

Anything else you think you need to name up?

Just remember there is always someone to listen or help you if you need it. Be brave and reach out and know that a bad day is just a bad day, not a bad life.
