1D

By Annie Mao

In 1D, we have been exploring a new text type, Poetry! Students have been engaging with a variety of different poems, as well as exploring its structure and its purpose. Through visualisation, we understand that poetry helps us paint a picture in our mind, and after reading some poems on bees and nature, we have illustrated what the poem means to us.

Here are what some of us had to say about poetry –

Calden – Poetry can be funny, and I enjoy reading it.

Marvika – I learnt that poetry can be used for meditation because it can be very relaxing to listen to.
