The Kids Corner section of this fortnight’s newsletter features a report from Minza (Year 1) and Krisha (Year 3) who spent an afternoon meeting some cricket stars!

Hi Mr Catalano, teachers, and students,

Last Saturday (12th November), we went to the WBBL cricket match at Citi Power stadium. The motivation behind going there is our deep interest in cricket and to meet national and international players.

Fortunately, we also got the opportunity to go on the cricket ground along with 9 other children. We got autographs and representative hats from the players.

Furthermore, we were lucky enough to get mini-cricket bats from the stadium staff which we used to get player’s autographs.

The two best parts of the day were meeting Bethany Mooney (an Australian player) and Jamaimah Rodrigues (an Indian international player.) 

We learnt that it is not easy to become a professional player, however resilience and sportsmanship leads to success.
