Fantastic French

Bonjour!
To fit into the theme of "Big and Small", French Foundation students have started to learn the song "L'araignée Gypsy". This song is the English equivalent of Incy Wincy Spider.
Students have traced the words and practised the lyrics for the first part of the song and have started to sing it in French in class.
Grade 1 and 2 are familiarising themselves with the rooms of the house with the idea of making connections with rooms in the home and family members. Can you remember which of the following French words match the pictures?
La cuisine, la salle de bains, le salon ?
Continuing with the topic of food, Grade 3 and 4 students have worked on a conversation activity to describe their "nourriture préférée" (favourite food) and "boisson préférée" (favourite drink). They also looked at sounds like e and i in French, which can be a bit tricky for English speakers.
The worksheet "Ma journée typique" challenged Grade 5 and 6 to construct French expressions related to numbers and time. They used " à... heures et ..." to construct sentences in French about a typical day at school, marking time for " je vais à l'école" ( I go to school), la récreation (recess), le déjeuner lunch, le dîner (dinner) and se coucher (sleep time).
Très intéressante !
