Secondary Diocesan Cricket Competition, Thursday 19 October,2017

On Thursday 19 October a team of twelve boys travelled to Inverell to play a cricket match against Holy Trinity. We won the toss and elected to bat. We batted at a high standard and got a total score of 170. Jack Montgomery, our highest scoring batsman, scored 111 (not out) he and Oscar Davis scoring a partnership of 50 plus.
To defend our batting standards, it was our turn to field. Jack Montgomery made an early wicket. This was followed up with two wickets from Brad Swan, three wickets from Nick Fisher and two wickets from Jock Brazel and Colby Kilpatrick. Holy Trinity batted out to score a total of 82 runs.
All the boys played extremely well and we are looking forward to playing against Gunnedah in a few weeks time.
