Junior Netball

On Tuesday, the 29th of May, the Year 7 and 8 Netball teams, accompanied by their year 10 & 11 Coaches, competed in the junior netball tournament at Boardman Stadium in Sunbury.

The Year 7's had a fantastic day, opening with a strong win against Melton. The team went on to win all 3 of their matches and qualified for the finals. Sadly, they were matched against a very strong team and were defeated in the final. All the girls worked hard and developed their game throughout the day. They played brilliantly together and showed fantastic sportsmanship.

The Year 8's faced tough opposition in the first round, losing against the eventual winning team from Sunbury. The girls battled strongly in all their games, listened, and acted on all the suggestions made by their young coaches. Even though they did not manage to win a game, their sportsmanlike behaviour and commitment to do their best was evident.
