Principal's Report

Principal's Report

As we move through the year, our Positive Behaviour Support Team helps the whole school focus on a particular behaviour in the Staughton Student matrix. For the next few weeks we are focussing on:

Learning

This is a great time to focus on learning, as students in the senior end of the school complete final assessments, and exams. At Staughton, we have a strong focus on students becoming independent learners. We use rubrics to measure where students are at the start of a unit, throughout the unit and at the end of the unit. Students set goals for improvement throughout each unit. The individual steps in this learning process are outlined in the learning column of the Staughton Student Matrix below. Please ask your child about how they have used rubrics to monitor their progress this semester. This helps us work together to maximise student learning growth.

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
