There is still time to enter our bookmark design competition – the closing date is Friday 28th February – entries can be emailed to vbclibary@viewbank.vic.edu.au or handed in at the library.

We have had some great entries in already!

Students have been busy this week hunting the library for golden tickets – students can turn their golden tickets into a chocolate bar by reviewing the book. They can either bring in a written review (a brief paragraph is great!), or review it online by signing into the library website (Compass username and password).

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with our blind date with a book display - a big thank you to Year 9’s Jack for his amazing effort decorating the library for the day!

Opening Hours

The library is open before and after school, and during recess and lunchtime.

Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm*
Friday 8.00am – 4pm
Changes to hours due to events will be advertised.

Borrowing

Students can borrow up to 5 books. Books are loaned for three weeks but can be renewed either at the library desk or online by signing into the Library webpage (Compass username and password). Students can also reserve books and check their borrowing history online.

eResources

We provide access to a number of online resources, including:

Gale In Context - reference materials
Wheelers Audiobooks - a wide selection of fiction titles.

The library space

The library is available as a social and study space during recess and lunchtimes. The space includes silent study rooms for VCE students, and a quiet reading zone.

There is a printer/photocopier in the library (sign in with Compass ID and password) – ask us if you need help.
