$20 Boss Program

The $20 Boss program is well underway and our Year 10 students have successfully founded a variety of businesses.

Over the past two weeks, classes have established project groups, each of which have utilised ideation techniques to develop a range of viable business initiatives. The focus was on People, Planet & Profit, with the students encouraged to consider how their business idea could positively impact the College community, society and the environment, whilst being financially sustainable. 

Students have conducted primary research to better understand the needs and preferences of their target market; they have used this information to create a prototype of their product/service, showcasing its desirable features and benefits. 

The program has already given students an insight into the business environment and the potential challenges they could encounter through their endeavours. Lessons have provided students with the opportunity to utilise and advance their enterprise skills, including creative and critical thinking, collaboration and communication.

We look forward to updating you on our students’ progress throughout the term. 

Don’t forget that business trading will take place over lunchtimes during ‘Market Week’ towards the end of term – exact dates TBA.
