Student Operations Team

Attendance and Punctuality
In Victoria, education is compulsory for children aged between 6 and 17. At Staughton we prioritise student attendance, as it is very clear that students learn best when they attend school every day. Any student who falls below 90% attendance is at risk of not progressing to the next year level. This is because it is hard for students to show expected growth in their learning when they miss classes in a sequence of lessons. Students should endeavour to ensure they are punctual at school as lateness causes disruptions to student learning.
It is important that parents and guardians of students at Staughton College contact the college if their child is absent. The college 24 hour absence line is 97435061.
Uniform Compliance
Students are expected to wear the correct school uniform at all times whilst at the College, travelling to and from the College, in physical education classes, and when attending College functions. Students should report directly to the Co-ordinators office to obtain a pass if they are not in the correct uniform for any reason. Please note uniform passes are limited and a note should be supplied.
2016 Year Level Co-ordinators
We are pleased to inform the Staughton community that all year level Co-ordinators and Sub-School Leaders from semester one will remain in the Student Operations Team. However Mrs Tobin will assume the role of Year 10 Year level Co-ordinator for term three in the absence of Mr Gawly who will be on leave. This continuity provides stability for our students and enables parents and guardians to develop positive relationships with the Student Operation Team. The Co-ordinators are often the first line of communication with students and parents and will continue to work to make Staughton life happy and productive for all, please do not hesitate to contact your relevant Co-ordinator should there be any concerns.
