Girls Footy
Congratulations to the senior girl’s football team who toughed it out on a cold, wet and windy day at Lewis Road Reserve. All girls were extremely competitive against some tough opposition. Highlight of the day would have to be Hayley Gstrein running half the field and kicking a goal, only to be called back for running well over 15 metres without bouncing the ball. A fun day for all, well done!
Boys Netball
Our boys are serious about their netball. The boys spent plenty of time preparing for interschool netball which certainly paid off for the junior and senior boys A teams who won their divisions and will progress to the next round that will be held in Term 3. Congratulations to the year 9 boys who got a special mention from the umpires for showing fantastic sportsmanship across the day as well as the senior boys B team who all went out and bought matching outfits for the occasion. We love the commitment.

Basketball Clinic
On Wednesday the Sport and Rec VET class travelled to Mountain Gate Primary School to run a Basketball Clinic. The Unit 3/4 students each ran an activity with support from the Unit 1/2 students. 62 Grade 5 and 6 students joined in the fun session learning more about dribbling, shooting, passing and defence. The VET students also produced an educational poster explaining the skills they taught to be put up in the classrooms. The Primary students enjoyed the session and it was a valuable experience for the VET students.
