Regional Hoop Time

On Wednesday the 19th of October, our Year 3/4 girls All Star basketball team attended the Regional Hoop Time finals as they won their District day last term. The girls played 5 games against other schools and one bonus match against the parents! They tried their best, displayed excellent sportsmanship, showed their HEART values and had lots of fun. Well done girls - we are very proud of you!

Thank you to the parent volunteers who assisted with coaching the girls and supporting them on the day.

Bike Education 2022

This term, students in 3/4B, 3/4K and 3/4S will be participating in a ‘Bike Education’ program at school during their Physical Education Lessons. The program will run for 4 weeks.

The program provides a mixture of basic practical skills, such as performing bike safety checks, bike control, braking etc. There will also be a theoretical component in which students will learn about basic road rules and how to ride safely around traffic and other cyclists and pedestrians.

On these four days we are asking that students bring their own bike and helmet to school. There will be a safe, allocated area for students to leave their bikes during the day. I have several spare bikes, which can be used by children who are unable to bring a bike to school, however they will need to provide their own helmet.

To conclude the unit, we are planning a bike ride to a local park where the students will be able to enjoy a picnic together. More information about this event will be sent out soon.
