Principal's Report

As we conclude our final week of term it is always good to stop and reflect on the events that have occurred and the achievements that have taken place. Below is a snapshot of what has taken place over the last 10 weeks. Our students are lucky to have such wonderful learning opportunities as well as parents and staff who support them so that they can be involved in these pursuits. Many thanks to our dedicated and wonderful parents and staff who without your support, many of these events could not be possible.

  • Biocats excursions for 5/6 students
  • Serendip Sanctuary  excursions for 1/2 students
  • The Ballarat Wildlife Park excursions for Prep students
  • The Young Author’s Program for selected 5/6 students
  • The 100 Days of School for our Preps
  • Division level basketball competition
  • Hosting Japanese students for a visit
  • Girls AFL- State level competition
  • The school disco
  • Book Week
  • Kinder visits
  • Fathers’ Day Stall
  • Grade 3/4 camp
  • Victorian State School Spectacular (VSSS)
  • The BPS Snow Trip
  • Prep Science and Nature day
  • The Celebration of Learning (tonight)

We also acknowledge that it has been a challenging term for our school community with the sudden death of our much loved student, Sophie.  We have been supported by many members of the education community within our local area, as well as the broader Ballarat community, which has been very much appreciated. We know that we may continue to face challenges as we move forward, but take comfort in the kindness and care that has been expressed  to our school community.

We wish all of our families a safe and relaxing holiday break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, October 3rd for an action packed final term of 2022.

PREP 2023 ENROLMENTS

If you have a child to enrol for Prep in 2023 and haven’t submitted an enrolment, please do so this week as our spaces are filling and we would like to provide an answer for those on our wait-list, so that we can finalise our numbers and make arrangements for our Pre-Schooler Program groupings and final details.

PARENT SURVEYS

If you received an invitation to participate in the parent survey, we’d love to get your feedback, so please remember to complete the survey by this Friday,  September 16th. Many thanks for your participation.
