Snow Trip:

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WEEK ON THE SLOPES! 35 students and 10 adults spent the most amazing time on Mt Buller from 4-9 September, 2022. The week was filled with skiing, boarding, sliding, turning, tumbling, lift trips, snow ball fights, shopping, eating, games and, most definitely needed, sleeping! With preparations beginning for the group earlier in the year, it has been very much anticipated and turned into everything we wanted and more. The group we travelled with were incredible – namely their perseverance and improvement throughout the time on the slopes.

Thank you to all the people who made this trip possible! Not only those who were on the trip but the staff at school who were behind the scenes and continue to be the heart beat of the school, the families for preparing their children in the way they did, teachers and classes who kept in touch with us while we were away and kept an eye on the blogsite for our daily updates, Wilson Fruit and Veg for the provision of delicious fruit, Cooper at Aeski for his terrific cooking and hospitality and our ‘ever-so-cool’ ski/boarding instructors.

Division Athletics:

Congratulations to all participants in last week’s Division Athletics. The event was able to push through the weather and all events were run. As always, Buninyong fielded an awesome team and everyone did their best in their events. Well done athletes! We are super proud of you!

Thank you to Jarrod Rodgers and Brooke who coordinated the team on the day and did a super job! Thank you to all the parents who also helped out on the day or were able to come along and support our team.

Results from the day can be found here. The first 2 competitors in all individual events and the first relay team in each event will progress through to the Region Track and Field Event, which will take place on Friday the 7th of October at the Ballarat Regional Athletics Centre. Golf Tournament Applications Open:

Applications are open for the Primary School Golf Tournament. This event will take place on 10 October at the Buninyong Golf Club. Please note that this will not be a staffed event and parents are required to transport and supervise their child. There is a cost of $5 and players will need to bring their own clubs (please contact Claire Morris if this is a prohibiting factor in participation). The top scorers will progress through Division Golf on 8 November at Midlands Golf Club.

Please contact Claire Morris (claire.morris@education.vic.gov.au) if you wish to register your child (N.B. they must be at least 10 years old as of 31 December 2022 to apply). Applications close on 3 October, 2022.

P.E Shoes Reminder:

A reminder that clean, dry running shoes should be brought with students to all their P.E. lessons. This ensures safe participation for your student and others using the gym. This message is particularly important during these wetter months where slippery shoes and floor can be dangerous. Thank you to all those students who continue to diligently bring their correct shoes!
