ADPSC Netball and Soccer Gala Day

 

As per the Compass notification, our Gala Day was postponed for a second time due to the fields being too wet to play on. Heidi Hardaker from the CSO is busily trying to find a new date in Term 4.  Watch this space for updates on the new date.

SPORT STORIES

Last weekend we had a number of students play in their grand finals for different sports across the region. Thank you to those people who have sent in emails celebrating our students' success. 

Rugby League

Dylan Cooper plays for Kootingal in Under 10s Rugby League. He and his team won their first Grand Final on Saturday by 2 points. Congratulations Dylan.

Collegians Under 11's

Two of our Year 5 boys, Reid Gray and Zac Robertson, played in their Rugby League Grand Final on the weekend, coming away with the win 18-12.  Congratulations boys!

Collegians Under 12's

An entertaining & hard fought Grand Final between Collegians Under 12's & Norths Red on the weekend, won by Collegians 20-12. Collegians Players - Corey Lay, Paul Refalo, Cooper James, Sam Timbury, Henry Rumsby - Man of the Match for Collegians Norths Red - Lewis Crough. Well done to all the boys!

Hockey

Nathan Rex, Ashton Jeffrey and their team South United Hockey, won their Under 11's Grand Final on the weekend. See below for the boys and their team with the Championship trophy.

Netball

The St Edward's Warriors were in the Grand Finals last weekend. All the girls played so well and achieved Runners Up. We are all so proud of the girls and the efforts that they have put in during the netball season. Dave and I would like to thank Nikki Bridge for taking over the coaching when we could not make it.

A few reminders:

•             Every team is to have a bench person to bench their game

•             The player/coach seats are for players and coaches only and not spectators

•             Area around score bench is to be kept clear, it is for scorers only

•             Players arriving prior to warming up etc., please make sure that each player is in the team list with correct number on the tablets

Registrations are now open 3yrs-17yrs Tamworth Athletics Friday afternoon. Season starts 14th October. Walk, run, roll, jump or throw. The choice is yours. Consider joining us for fun and fitness this Summer.

Softball

Sport and School Activity Levy

Just a little reminder to pay the Sport and School Activity Levy if you haven't already done so. This levy covers buses to and from the Primary Campus, to and from sporting events, gymnastics, tennis and the hire of both the swimming pool and athletics track. Please check on your Compass portal whether this needs to be updated.

Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
