The 2022 Art Shows highlight the outstanding achievements of students from Years 7-12 in the areas of Visual Arts, Media and Visual Communication Design.

Student work is showcased in the form of physical and digital displays to the school community and the general public, with certificates and prizes awarded in recognition of creative excellence.

The Senior Art show opens on Wednesday 16 November at 5:30pm and we hope to see you there.

INTRODUCING ART SHOW GUEST SPEAKER ANTHONY BRESLIN

We are incredibly privileged to host Melbourne-based, award-winning artist Anthony Breslin, whose work you will recognise from ‘The Story of Big Frog' mural in Murrumbeena village. This large-scale work, a gift from Anthony to the local community, is based on the character of Big Frog from Anthony's children's book Brezania, is vibrant and joyous to behold.

You may also be familiar with his recent partnership with the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses (CPR). The colourful, intricately detailed ‘Squeak Squeak’ from Breslin’s stunning horse head series is the ‘hero’ image for the NTTC 2022 campaign, spreading the word about the importance of having fun, but not at the expense of any animals. His deep love for all animals can be seen throughout his art over his career, and horses hold an extra-special place in his heart.

And don’t miss the opportunity to view his current solo exhibition MELANGE, at Burrinja Cultural Centre (351 Glenfern rd, Upwey) from 15 October - 19 November.
