Denmark Tutoring - Holiday Programs

Denmark Tutoring is a local business, located in Denmark, WA. All tutors are qualified teachers with TRBWA registration and many years of experience teaching in classrooms and individual or small group tuition. Quality is assured with current child safe training, certification, and Working With Children Checks.

 

Denmark Tutoring are now offering sessions to local students in subjects of Mathematics, English and organisational skills. Two important holiday programs will be introduced during January.

 

In Mathematics Intensive Preparation, small group sessions for Years Seven to Twelve will be available online for students wanting to get a head start on the curriculum they will face in the coming year of school. Students can gain skills and understandings during the holidays which will assist their learning during term.

 

The Intensive OLNA Program will assess students and target growth areas to ensure students are best equipped for passing their OLNA in Term One, 2023. The program will allow students to focus on particular areas with continued repetition to build depth of understanding and increased accuracy.

 

Individual, personalised general tuition in Mathematics, remedial English, and organisational skills will also be offered for students in Kindergarten to Year twelve, with limited sessions available for 2023.

Spencer Park Dental Therapy opening hours during school holidays

Spencer Park Dental Therapy Centre will be closed from Friday 16 December until Monday 30 January 2023. If your child requires emergency dental treatment during our closure, please contact Albany General Dental Clinic on (08) 9842 2211 from 8.15am to 4.30pm. For emergencies outside of these hours, please contact your own private dentist or Albany Regional Hospital on (08) 9892 2222. 

 

Your child will be eligible to attend a Dental Therapy Centre from ages 5 to 17. If you no longer wish to use our service, please let us know as soon as possible.

 

All appointments are now sent to your home address. If you have moved house in the last few years, we may not have your correct address and your child could miss out on their check-up. The City of Albany is excited to present the Christmas Lights Trail, Christmas Festival & Pageant and New Year’s Eve Picnic & Fireworks! These three events are perfect fun for the whole family.

 

Christmas Lights Trail

Date: From Saturday19 November 2022 until early January 2023

The City of Albany’s Christmas Lights Trail is back on for 2022, with 14 sparkling installations filling the Albany CBD with Christmas cheer! Don’t forget to enter the selfie competition for the chance to win a $100 Christmas Shopping Voucher – simply post a selfie with one of the Christmas light installations with the hashtag #albanychristmaslightstrail. Selected winners will receive a $100 voucher to the local business of your choice, so get creative! The Christmas Lights Trail is proudly supported by Rustlers Steakhouse and Grill.

 

Christmas Festival & Pageant

Date: Saturday 3 December 2022

The City of Albany’s Christmas Festival and Pageant is back and bigger than ever, with a line-up of amazing floats already registered! From 3.00pm on Saturday 3 December, Albany Town Square will light up with markets, live music and a host of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. At 6.00pm, a sparkling array of school groups, artists, volunteer services and snazzy cars will parade York Street as part of the official Christmas Pageant. This year’s Christmas Festival & Pageant is proudly supported by Lotterywest and Southern Ports.

 

New Year’s Eve Picnic & Fireworks

Date: Saturday 31 December 2022

Ring in 2023 at the City of Albany’s New Year’s Eve Picnic & Fireworks! Everyone can take part in the fun from 5.00pm at Anzac Peace Park, with a family-friendly fireworks show at 9.00pm and a more traditional fireworks display at midnight. Have a groove along to live music acts from across the state who will be providing the tunes until 9.00pm, followed by a DJ and glow party! This year’s New Year’s Eve Picnic & Fireworks is proudly supported by Lotterywest, Southern Ports, the Road Safety Commission and Rustlers Steakhouse and Grill.

Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Youth Explorer voyages are endorsed by SCSA and students in Years Ten to Twelve may earn one WACE unit (to a maximum of three units) and their participation will be entered into their WASSA. It also provides valuable skills for students' resumes or portfolios for tertiary entrance.
