From the Principal

Christmas Service

On Monday we celebrated our annual Christmas service under the guidance of Chaplain, Mrs Naomi Cooper.  Students led the service with prayers, readings, poems, artwork, and music.  The highlight was the Year One students' re-enactment of the birth of Jesus.

Award Ceremonies

At the Award Ceremonies, I spoke about the School’s 25th year in 2023 and the planning of several events to celebrate this milestone.  You will start to see our 25-year anniversary  logo appear on the school’s social media platforms and our marketing.  The 25-year anniversary logo, in our traditional Grammar colours, is iconic, unique and typifies our history and future.  It is timely as we begin our 25-year celebration to acknowledge one of our school Founders, Dr Peter Pratten.  Dr Pratten was instrumental in possessing the vision to start an independent Christian school in Albany.

With little more than an idea and determination, Dr Pratten was able to ignite the development of Great Southern Grammar from humble beginnings. We are indebted to him and his ongoing commitment to our school, he rarely misses joining us as we celebrate our significant events. We presented Dr Peter Pratten with a small gift to acknowledge his role as one of the School Founders and his long-standing commitment to Great Southern Grammar.
