Clinical

Clinical Care Co-Ordinator
Where has the year gone!
December today and Christmas is just around the corner.
We are finally getting through the staff appraisals, it has been one thing after another delaying the process.
Over the year we have had good feedback from staff, and it is important to continue logging your feedback to help ensure that any issues are followed up and hopefully improve the running of the facility also to show recognition to staff.
You can continue using the yellow feedback forms or log online via Manad.
We have had some very useful education sessions over the course of the year; wound management, pressure injury from Cindy Williams, IDDSI from Ruth Glenville, Palliative Care from Pam Teh just to mention a few.
Going into the New Year we have education on the calendar with dates to be confirmed
- Fire Training
- CPR/First Aid Training
- Volunteering Assisted Dying
- Wound Assessment and Pressure Injury
- After Death Care from Tobin Brothers
If any staff would like any other topics of education, please let us know.
It has been a tough year again with Covid still in the community and we have managed to get through 4 outbreaks to date and I thank all the staff for their dedication and care during these stressful times.
I also would like to thank the staff for all the extra shifts, hours that was done during our recent flood disaster, your dedication and empathy given to our residents and each other is amazing.
At times there is unforeseen shortfalls on the roster, and as a team we need to continue to support each other and work as a team.
I wish you all a very Merry Xmas and Safe and Happy New Year. Enjoy the festive season with your family and friends.
I will be back in 2023 to finish off Katie's maternity leave, until her return in March.
Thank you to all our staff, take care and keep smiling
Tanya
