Thornbury History Group

Did you know Thornbury PS has a group of volunteers who are collating the schools history archives? Two ex staff members and an ex student from the 1950’s, meet each month to sort, document and store school photos and memorabilia. Many of the items were spread all around the school or were donated by ex families who visited the school during the Centenary celebrations in 2015. All items are being documented and housed in secure archival cupboards purchased with a grant from Public Records Office -Victoria (PROV).

If you have any items that can be added to the archives please drop them into the office at any time.

The centenary in 2015 also saw the launch of a book on the history of Thornbury Primary School.This colorful and informative publication can be purchased from the office for $20.
