Primary School News

Primary students have returned to school after the break and settled back into the routine of school. Our students often show us that they are great at remembering what to do, even after a two week holiday from school. There has been some normality returned to the Primary Sub School, as the Room 4 classroom was re-established, and we welcome Amelia as our Room 4 classroom teacher.
The students have enjoyed time outdoors in the lovely autumn weather. Climbing on the playground equipment and finding autumn leaves in the garden is often fun. Our Physical Education lessons have taken place outdoors, and the students have engaged in circuit activities to support the development of gross motor skills. Activities have included learning to do push-ups, walk through a step ladder rope and run around cones.
Room 4
Room 4 has had a fantastic start to the term.
We have settled into our classroom and daily routines, following our schedule and classroom expectations. Students have completed lots of counting and number work in mathematics through stories, games and tabletop activities. Students have worked hard on learning letter sounds and making sentences using colourful semantics in literacy. Other highlights have included morning circle, reading stories, visiting the garden, music, art and PE.
We are looking forward to the coming term!
