Welcome back for Term 2. This term is only 9 weeks long (short compared to all other terms this year). This weeks newsletter is to let you know key information for the term, and then next weeks newsletter will return to our normal format.
Important Dates for Term 2
Tuesday 26th April till Wednesday 4th May - Somers Camp
Thursday 28th April - Grades 3 to 6 Cross Country
Wednesday 4th May - District Cross Country
Tuesday 10th May - Bulldogs Footy Clinic
Wednesday 18th May - PD Day (Students not required at school on this day)
Friday 20th May - Division Cross Country
Thursday 26th May - Grade 5/6 Winter Sports
Friday 10th June - Curriculum Day (Students not required at school on this day)
Monday 13th June - Queens Birthday Long Weekend
Thursday 23rd June - School Reports sent home
Friday 24th June - Last day of Term 2 - 2:30 dismissal
PD and Curriculum days n Term 2
At the end of Term 1, the Department of Education advised all schools that they can utilities 2 professional developments days in Term 2. We have sort School Council approval for the above two dates. On these days, all staff will be attending professional learning and refining their practices in Literacy and Numeracy.
Cross Country
This Thursday, students in Grades 3 to 6 will be taking part in the School House Cross Country. Ribbons will be awarded to those students who come in the top 3 in their age group on the day. The team to represent the school will be selected on student times, including those students who have already recorded their time prior to attending Somers Camp. The top 4 times in the 9&10 (combined) years old, 11 year old and 12 year old will attend the District event next week.
