School Devices at Home ~ JAMF PARENT APP Year 5/6

At St Mary’s we promote the safe and responsible use of technology at school and home.

St Mary’s is a proud eSmart school and we like to provide our community with information and resources to ensure your child is using their school device appropriately at home.  

Our Cloud Management System JAMF provides us with a product called JAMF Parent. JAMF Parent is an app you can use to manage your child’s school-issued device. Using Jamf Parent, you can manage your child’s device with the following features:

• Allow and restrict apps

Enable App Lock to set a timer for app restrictions

If you have a student in Year 5 and Year 6 then you will need to download and install the JAMF Parent App onto your mobile device for easy access. We have two guides and a quick video that will help you get started.

JAMF Parent App Video setup- This video shows you the process to activate your child’s device to your parent app.

Quick Start Guide -This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add your child’s device with Jamf Parent by scanning a QR code on your child’s device.

JAMF Parent Full Guide- This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the features in Jamf Parent to manage your child's school-issued device.

When this app is activated on your child’s device you will have control over your child’s device from 4pm to 8am the next morning. This is to ensure that your child’s device is fully functional while at school.
