Message from the Principal Team

Principals' Update

End of Term

Our first fully on-site term in a long time has come to a close. We would like to thank everyone in the community for your continued support of our school and your commitment to our health as a community. We hope that everyone has the opportunity to relax with family over the next two weeks. Regarding the principal role, Keith has applied for the acting position here at CNPS for term 2 and is waiting for the outcome of that process. As soon as this matter is resolved we will inform the community. Keith would also like to thank all students, staff and families for making him so welcome this term.

Erin’s Baby News!

We are delighted to announce that on Friday 1st of April, Erin gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Eva Annie Brown. Mum and baby are doing great and our best wishes and congratulations are with them.

Best Wishes for Halimah and Janai

Both Halimah and Janai will be leaving us at the end of this term. Having completed her teaching qualifications recently, Halimah has accepted a teaching job and goes with our kind thoughts and congratulations.

Janai is off on maternity leave so we will soon have another baby update to communicate to you all. All the very best to Janai and her family.

School Review Update

On Monday the 4th of April the school review panel convened for the final panel day of the strategic school review. Using the information gathered during the fieldwork day and the pre review self-evaluation data completed by the staff here at school, the panel drafted a series of proposed goals for the next four years. The three goals focused on:

  • Improving learning growth for all students
  • Enhancing student agency
  • Enhancing student wellbeing

Targets and key improvement strategies were also set for these goals to enable the school to assess its performance over the course of the next strategic plan. Once these goals and targets are approved by the Department of Education they will be made public to the community. We wish to thank all the students, staff, parents and carers who took part in the review process. Extra special thanks to Conrad Dudley-Bateman, our School Council President, who gave up a great deal of time to represent the school and the parent community during this important process.
