WORLDS GREATEST SHAVE

For many years, Brighton Secondary College's students and staff have bound together and participated in the Worlds Greatest Shave to raise much needed money and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation.

This year we raised a massive $14,446.44!!! A huge congratulations to all students and staff who participated.

The money was raised through a gold coin donation for a casual dress day, spray painting their hair and directly through a fundraising page for individual students who bravely and happily shaved or cut their hair.

All the shaved and cut hair was bagged and also donated as they go on to make a variety of wigs for those in need.

We would also like to thank P&B Barbershop who volunteered his time to shave our students hair, as well as donating some money too.

Blood cancer takes so much.

It can take your job, it can take you away from your family, it can take your hair… and it can take your life.

When someone signs up to shave, cut or colour their hair for World’s Greatest Shave, they send a powerful message of hope to the 110,000 Australians and their families facing blood cancer right now.

Many people facing blood cancer lose their hair during treatment, and shaving is the ultimate act of solidarity to stand by them. The funds you raise will directly support those facing blood cancer today, as well as providing precious relief to over 50 more who will receive the same devastating diagnosis tomorrow.
