Building and Grounds News

Capital Works Handover

Things are getting very exciting and the hand over of the new building is imminent. There has been lots of progress and we have begun to pack up the Admin block.  You may see lots of boxes around. If you would like to help pack up or unpack the rest of the books in the library please see Mrs Halket or send her an email.

Handover will be held on in the last week of this term and the office/administration area will be closed in order to facilitate the move into the new building. This will be a very busy time for us onsite and we appreciate your help with this.

New fenced areas and walk ways will be erected around the school to ensure safety whilst the work is being completed.  Thank you CSPS community for your patience as we head into this new phase of the Capital Works program.

The old building is due for demolition Wednesday 28th June.  No members of the public will be allowed on site at this time

We are sure there will be a fantastic view from varied spots around the school.  Please ensure your safety if you are intending on taking a look.  We will send out updates via Compass.

Shade Sail

A Shade sail will be installed onsite in the front of the gallery steps on Friday 10 June during the curriculum day. This shade was through a government grant, which will provide much needed shade and another outdoor learning space for CSPS.

Bike Shed

A bike shed will be installed over the school holiday break. This shed will provide storage for 40+ bicycles and scooters. The design will look a little like the shed below. It will be located beside the Year 1 classrooms and storage containers at the back of the property. We are able to provide this through  a grant from the Department of Education and Training.

Pest Control

Bait boxes have been placed around all existing classrooms, library & multi purpose room. These bait boxes are child/pet proof and pass all Australian standards. Students have been instructed to leave these bait boxes alone.  We ask our community to do the same.  Thank you.
