The Leader In Me

As we draw to a close for Term 1, our students reflect on their achievements and progress across the term. This week, each student will have reflected on their tracking of academic and personal W.I.Gs. We encourage each child to share with their families their reflection and whether their set goals were achieved or not. Over the holiday period, you may like to discuss with your child what their goals may be for the upcoming term.

Setting goals is an integral part of our program as a Lighthouse school. Not only is it about simply setting a goal, but also what steps and actions to take to help achieve this goal. When creating our W.I.Gs, it is all about making sure these are achievable and setting ourselves up for success.

I would like to congratulate our Year 5 Leaders on their accomplishments this term. Each of them has demonstrated their ability to apply The 7 Habits, adapt to changing situations and be flexible. This is what being a leader is about! They are willing to give up their own time to run lunch clubs, meet and prepare for assemblies. I am in awe of their organisation, confidence and all-around leadership.

Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter break!
