LIBRARY

LIBRARY HOURS
The library is open to 5:30pm Mondays – Thursdays, closing at 4:30pm on Fridays. Students seeking a good place to study are welcome in the library. Private corrals are available for use and allow students to get on with work with a minimum of disruption or distraction. Normal school rules apply, no eating, no playing games on computers, etc.
Students with exams coming up should think about coming to the library after school to get on top of their workload and make use of the resources available in the library, (or you can go home, have a snack and catch up with your friends on the internet!)
FENCES DOWN!!
The construction fences around the library have come down and the library now opens onto a lovely landscaped court.
AUDIO BOOKS
Audio books are still available to be downloaded via the McKinnon Library home page. The trial service showed a demand for this service. It takes about five minutes to set up and start downloading.
Audio books are probably best downloaded to a mobile device such as a phone. The download and setting up process involves installing a free app. and will take 5 –10 minutes.
Download the app suitable for your device
The books with the loudspeaker icon are audio books (the other books are e-books, also available for loan)
Select a title to get to the details screen. This screen will tell you if the audiobook is available or not, what the story is about, etc.
Enjoy!
