Changes to Mathletics

2019 Mathletics commences next week with the first certificates being awarded on Monday 25 February.

In the coming days, students will be given their login details (same as last year for students in Years 1 - 6) to access the Mathletics website: http://au.mathletics.com/

Mathletics has many useful tools which the children can use to help consolidate the mathematical concepts taught at school. These tools include, but are not limited to: A Times Table tunes section, a section where they can compete against children from around the World and a section where they can practise every concept taught at school.

Every week the students who achieve 1000 Participation Points or more will receive a certificate from their Classroom Teacher. This year, TWO Mathlete Trophies will be awarded each week, one for Prep - Year 2 participants and one for Year 3 - 6 participants according to the points below.

Prep – Year 2

Students who achieve at least 2000 points in a week

Year 3 – Year 6

Students who achieve at least 5000 points in a week

The two Mathletes will have the opportunity of holding on to a special Mathletics trophy for the week (please note this will not be necessarily be awarded to the student with the highest points). They will also be recognised at our School Assembly and featured on the Compass News Feed and in our School Newsletter.

Please encourage your child to access Mathletics at home and email beaumaris.north.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au if you require further clarification.
