Whole School Photograph

As has become tradition at Blackfriars, every five years we capture a whole school photograph as an important part of the history and archival record of the school.  2018 marks the 65th year of Blackfriars and we will be capturing this anniversary next Wednesday, 19 September.

Students are required to be in full winter uniform for the whole school photograph (NB - no PE uniform).  Secondary students will need to be clean shaven and all students should have their hair neat and tidy, in accord with the school uniform regulations as published in the student diary and on the Uniform Shop page on our website.

Any students not wearing the correct uniform will not be included in the whole school photograph.

Technology for this style of photograph has changed significantly over the past few years.  We will be taking advantage of this with the image to be captured in small sections and entirely indoors.  Students will be provided with instructions and a schedule for their section ahead of the photo day.  It is anticipated that the entire composition should be completed by recess time.

For the first time in our Blackfriars whole school photograph, we will be including our Early Learning Centre boys and girls.  All students who attend the ELC, on any day of the week, are invited to be part of this historic image.  If Wednesday morning is not a time when you would regularly attend the ELC, please advise the staff if your son/daughter will be coming along.  To be involved, ELC students are required to be at school by no later than 9:00am and will be finished by 9:30am.  The boys and girls should wear their normal ELC uniform.

The whole school photograph will be printed and distributed to all families in the early part of Term 4 with instructions about how you can purchase this or return it at no cost.  A mounted version will also be available for purchase.
