Browns Reserve Pump Station Works Update
Our last communication to you was to advise of the project commencement. We can now say that the project is now well and truly underway. You may have noticed the temporary fencing that has been erected around the pump station and closing of the northern shared use path (along the Mordialloc Creek). We understand that this is a cause of frustration and inconvenience for some people, the decision to close the path was not made lightly and has been done with public safety in mind.
Two pumps have now been installed within the site compound and these temporary pumps are to enable us to conduct bypass pumping whilst the current pumps are decommissioned and removed.
In the coming weeks we will commence excavation works to remove the current pipework and replace with new. These pipes will run from the pump station and connect with Mordialloc Creek..
We will endeavour to provide you with periodic updates through the life of the project. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the team via email on brdrainagepumpstation@melbournewater.com.au or 1800 319 555.

Kingston City Council Electoral Structure
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reviewing the electoral structure of Kingston City Council and wants your input.
The review, known as an electoral representation review, will examine the electoral structure of the local council to ensure it provides fair and equitable representation for all voters. The review will look at:
- whether the local council has the appropriate number of councillors
- whether the local council should be unsubdivided, with councillors elected from the whole local council, or subdivided into wards and
- if subdivided, the number of wards, ward boundaries, and the number of councillors per ward.
Public input is a vital part of the review process, providing valuable local perspectives and knowledge. The VEC has prepared a submission guide to help in preparing submissions.
The VEC will also host a public information session for anyone interested in finding out more about the review. The session will be held at 6.00 pm on Thursday 20 June at Council Chambers, City of Kingston Municipal Offices, 1230 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham.
To find out more about the review process and how you or your group can have a say, visit the VEC website or call 131 832.
Yours faithfully
