Congratulations!
Congratulations to the class of 2019 on completing their secondary schooling and we wish them well for whatever the next chapter holds.
Many of the VCAL students have successfully transitioned into full-time apprenticeships and are well on the way with their chosen vocation.
With VCE and ATAR results now released, this time of year can bring a range of emotions for some of the VCE Students. Students are encouraged to continue to access support from school if any assistance is required.
Some key points to note:
- Students can register to access their results via the Results and ATAR website or APP. Please note that the school is unable to disclose any specific details about individual student results to anyone other than the student.
Students can:
- Attend the Change of Preference events at the TAFEs/universities. Most of the universities will have course advisors available and specific events scheduled this Friday and/or Saturday to assist with questions around course options.
- Explore Diploma/Pathway course options – eg. there are some FREE TAFE opportunities available in 2020.
- Make a time at school to discuss options - I will be available at the College until Dec 20. You can contact me via phone 9848 4677 or email (ramsay.vanessa.v@edumail.vic.gov.au).
- The VCAA provide the Post Results and ATAR Service (PRAS) which is available to assist with any questions about VCE results and/or ATAR. The PRAS does not provide actual results or the ATAR but if students would like to speak to someone about their VCE results or ATAR please call the PRAS on 9637 3877 or email pras@edumail.vic.gov.au
Course Offers
This year for the first time there will be Course Offers made in December. As this is a new process, students need to be aware that whilst most courses will make offers, institutions will likely be conservative in how many they make, as all VTAC listed courses will need to participate in the January Offer Round. This means that students should not panic if they don’t receive an offer in December but retain their course preference list in their preferred order whilst exploring pathway options. Students can continue to adjust their preferences between offer rounds but are always encouraged to accept any offer to hold a place, whilst still being eligible for any course preferences higher on their list in any future Offer Rounds.
Additional information regarding offers is available on the VTAC Website.
Key dates for course offers:
- December Round: December 18
- January Round: January 15
- February Rounds: February 3, 10, 17, 24
If students are considering apprenticeships or employment, they are encouraged to register with Apprenticeship Vacancy providers
