MySelf Program

An Excursion Under The Sea

On Wednesday, 20 November, I had the chance to join an excursion with a group of Year 9 students doing their MyAnimal project together with Miss Gucciardo.

A small trip to the Sealife Aquarium was a perfect way to escape from the heat of a sunny day, as well as an awesome opportunity to discover some of the most incredible creatures found in our oceans.

My group of 11 students and I were excited to see animals such as sharks, emperor penguins, giant rays and many species of fish, and learn new things about them.

Seeing them swimming in clean waters behind a glass is completely different to what I expected after watching documentaries and reading books. I didn’t imagine some of them to be that huge and cute!

I was pleased to see the students diligently explore the attraction, enjoy walking through the different exhibits and take pictures of the Sealife inhabitants.
