Junior School News

Let the games begin!

Year 7 students have started preparing for their Mentone Games that will be held on Friday 31 May. During Personal Learning lessons, students are completing an inquiry project on the question 'Are the Olympics/Commonwealth Games about more than sports'?  Each team of approximately 12 students will be representing a Commonwealth Nation at our Mentone Mini Games. Students are currently researching their country, designing flags and creating suitable ‘themes’ that represent the culture of their country.

Year 8 Camp

Year 8 camp is in full swing. 8A - D returned on Wednesday and 8E - G are away at the moment.

The activities have focused on building confidence and working as a team, all whilst having fun!

A huge thank you must go to Mr Steve Williams and Ms Melanie Erwin for their organisation of the camps. This is also extended to all staff who attended. It is a big sacrifice for staff to attend as they leave their families, prepare classes which will be missed and are then on duty caring for your daughters. Thank you to the families who took the time to thank our staff.
