Swinburne Junior Italian Poetry Competition

This year Doncaster Secondary College entered 41 Year 7 and 8 students in the Swinburne Junior Italian Poetry Competition during term 2. Students were required to memorise and recite an Italian poem in front of an external assessor. The Italian department is proud to announce that out of those 44 students we had:

• 5 students were awarded certificates of Participation
• 11 students were awarded certificates of Merit
• 24 students were awarded certificates of Distinction.

Students will receive their certificates later this term.

Most students performed in the Non-Italian category. One student, however, performed in the Italian section and we are extremely pleased to announce that Alessia Sebrero (7G) was awarded 4th place in the State for her recitation. She will receive a certificate as well as a bursary prize. Auguri a tutti!
