From Our Student Leaders

World Compliment Day, Clean Up Australia Day and the World’s Greatest Shave
The past few weeks have been full of lots of events run by the student leadership team such as World Compliment Day, Clean Up Australia Day and the World’s Greatest Shave.
For World Compliment Day the student leadership team decorated the chalk board and mirrors with positive messages. Clean up Australia Day was a fantastic event organised by the Environment team and involved a house competition of who could collect the most rubbish into their house coloured bin. Beachley won the competition as they collected the most rubbish and received 100 house points.
The World’s Greatest Shave was another successful event with Mr Collins and Mr Burgess shaving their head and four students; Vanessa Hovey, Trinity McEwan, Nikita Amos and Megan donating ponytails of hair 20cm or longer. Many students also participated in the day by having their hair braided or sprayed different colours. In total we raised approximately $750 which will be donated to the Leukaemia Foundation. We would like to thank the Community team for all their efforts to organise this wonderful event. Additionally, we would also like to say a huge thank you to the hairdresser, Breanna Mitchell from Pizazz in Bannockburn, who volunteered her time to come in and support this fantastic cause.
We are still fundraising for our Relay for Life team with the hot cross bun drive, supported by Baker’s Delight. If you haven’t already, please support us by ordering some delicious hot cross buns! Forms can be collected from the office if there are none left in your home group folder.
