Easter in Room 23

In History we learnt about why people celebrate Easter and what traditions people have during Easter because our topic is ‘Celebrations around the World’. Then, in Maths we were given a challenge to create an ‘Easter cube basket’ that would hold some Easter eggs. Some of us found it challenging. In Art, we did an Easter bunny pattern drawing. We had to think about different patterns and use that to decorate our bunny. We had a fun week with activities about Easter.

Power Youth Programme

In week 8 we had Port Power come to speak to the year 6/7s as part of the Power Youth Programme.

They spoke to us about health and respect. It was so much fun and we got little books. They showed us all about how to be healthy  and demonstrate respect.

Room 27 News

This year we started by thinking about our goals and our hopes for the future. We imagined ourselves as adults.

We have done lots of art using different techniques and working with ‘warm’ and ‘cool’ colours.

Room 16 & 17

On Friday March 23rd, Rooms 16 and 17 were fortunate enough to attend the Port Adelaide Town Hall Virtual Reality Showcase. We had an amazing time which allowed all of us to experience a variety of digital technologies. We were lucky enough to all be able to have a turn on the Immersive Virtual Reality which we all thought was fantastic! This software allowed us to be transported into a different place all within the Town Hall! We also got to use robots, a variety of literacy based technologies while using different programming software.
