GAT

YEAR 11 STUDY SKILLS

Payment of $30 for Study Skills (Elevate Education) is now due to the Main Office.   

Please note, the date has changed to Friday 24 April.

The program provides strategies on note taking, time management, recall strategies, exam techniques, organization, etc. 

Students will be provided with a hot dog lunch. Students are required at normal school times in full school uniform. The program runs from Periods 1-4 and then classes as per normal,  Periods 5-6.

GENERAL ACHIEVEMENT TEST 

On Wednesday 10 June, all VCE students completing a Unit 3 & 4 subject in 2015 will complete the General Achievement Test (GAT)

GAT results play an important role in checking that School-Assessed Tasks, School-Assessed Coursework and examinations have been accurately assessed. They may also be used if a student requires a Derived Exam Score due to illness, accident or personal hardship. 

VCE EXAMS

All VCE students will be sitting Unit 1 and Unit 3 exams from 5 June-12 June. 

Whilst these exams are not formal VCAA exams, they are an essential way that students can assess their level of understanding of the Key Knowledge taught in each of their subject areas.

Students will not be required at school for formal classes when their exams are not running.

Rehearsals

Students are required to attend a rehearsal at the venue on Tuesday 28 April.

Group 1     5.00 pm – 6.00 pm

Group 2     6.15 pm – 7.15 pm

Students are required to organise their own transport to and from the venue.  Girls should bring their shoes to practice.
