Congratulations

Late last year we entered the International Youth Silent Film Festival and were fortunate enough to place first. From this, we were shortlisted as global finalists. Recently, we travelled to America to watch our film compete at the Hollywood Theatre, in Portland, against 16 other finalists from the likes of New Zealand, Europe, USA and Australia. While there, we participated in activities and met with people from the industry. We were fortunate enough to place second overall, and are exceptionally happy with the result. We are extremely grateful for the experience and St. Bedes' support.

House Public Speaking

Congratulations to a tremendous group of speakers who kept their audience captivated with their impressive insights and skills on the topic of ‘Against All Odds’. The results were very close – much closer than in the past couple of years – and all Houses are to be commended for their competitive spirit and outstanding contribution to the public speaking culture at St Bede’s College.

The best Year 12 speaker was Kyran Hymers from Solomon.

The best Year 11 speaker was Matt Watson from La Salle.

Overall winner was McCristal. Equal second was La Salle and Solomon. Third place was Benilde.
