News

As we come to the end of another school term it is pleasing to see the achievement of the students across a number of areas. The students and staff deserve our thanks and congratulations. Specifically, can I acknowledge the following successes: -

  • Each year level AFL team made the grand final with the year 8 team being declared ACC champions.
  • The seniors and the Year 9 will have their Grand Finals this week.
  • The Year 9 soccer team were ACC champions.
  • The Year 12 Silent Film Festival team went to the USA to present and were 2nd at this world event.
  • The students who participated in the excellent College production.

I am also conscious of the work that our Lasallian Leaders do in helping with Year Level Retreats and running our first games evening for the junior students.

There are many excellent activities occurring with music, public speaking and debating. Students and staff need to be commended for their commitment and dedication.

Semester 2 has now commenced and our continued focus is on good teaching and learning. In relation to student learning students need to ensure that they are meeting the requirements regarding their studies. A commitment to good class work is essential and at the senior level consistent home study is essential to meet the many different commitments of VCE work. In relation to doing units 3/4 it is important that over the holiday break that they spend a minimum of 4 hours each day preparing for the VCE exams.

Parents:-It is an important responsibility of parents to ensure that your son has the correct uniform and presents himself well for school. Please check your son as he leaves home to ensure that he is wearing his uniform correctly.
