From the Chair

Welcome to Issue 6 of Tower Talk. 2018 has seen the Past Pupils’ Network Committee continue to assist Kilbreda alumnae reconnect with each other and with the college.  We have welcomed past pupils back to Kilbreda as part of their reunion celebrations during 2018 and are well underway with assisting with the planning for reunions for the Classes of 2018, 1989 and 1959. We are able to assist with planning and organising reunions by providing contacts for your year group, advertising your event on the Kilbreda Past Pupils’ Facebook page, College website and in the Tower Talk Newsletter. If you would like to include a visit to Kilbreda as part of your celebration please contact us on pastpupils@kilbreda.vic.edu.au

In this newsletter you will find information related to Kilbreda’s Past Pupils of Distinction program. Following on from our highly successful inaugural program and Dinner in 2017, we have now launched the nomination process for Past Pupils’ of Distinction 2019. We encourage you to seriously consider nominating a student whose life after Kilbreda you would like to put forward for recognition.

The Past Pupils’ Network Committee has appreciated the support of Kilbreda Co-Principals Nicole Mangelsdorf and Teresa Lincoln over the three years of their principalship. It has been a positive and easy working relationship on many levels and one that we, the members, have greatly appreciated. We are disappointed to learn that Teresa will be leaving Kilbreda at the end of the year. We thank Teresa for her ongoing support, enthusiasm and wise counsel and the value she has placed on the role of Past Pupils in the life of Kilbreda College. We wish her well as her continuing role in education takes on new experiences and challenges.  We look forward to our continuing partnership with Nicole.
