Arts and Technology Showcase

This year has been an exciting one in the Arts and Technology, which culminated in our annual Arts and Technology Showcase, exhibiting creative works from subjects of Art, Visual Communication, Media, Product Design, as well as performances from Music and Drama.

For anyone who attended it was clear that the students at Scoresby Secondary College are a talented bunch.

It was again wonderful to have the local primary schools of Scoresby Primary School, Mountain Gate Primary School and Carrington Primary School exhibiting student work also. The creativity and innovation displayed by students of such a young age is rewarding to see and holds great promise for their creative futures.

We thank Leon from Rotary Club of Knox for giving the welcoming address speech, highlighting the wonderful community opportunities and partnerships that have been formed between our college and the Rotary Club.

Congratulations to all students who received awards on the night for excellence in their subjects and outstanding individual pieces. A special congratulations to Hayley Cooke-Balde of Mountain Gate Primary School for taking out the “People’s Choice” Award.

We thank Deans Art, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Ferntree Gully Officeworks for their kind donation of prizes awarded to all students.
