VCE Theatre Studies - Masquerade

Masquerade PLAY

Thursday 10 May & Friday 11 May

Performing Arts Theatre

6.30 pm

The VCE Theatre Studies class has been working hard since part way through Term 1, and show-time is so close now! The students are designing and performing Masquerade, the magnificent play by Kate Mulvany based on the book by Kit Williams with music by Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen and in collaboration with David Spicer productions.

The play is a beautiful, touching musical which tells a story of love, courage, mortality and dreams that is perfectly suited for audiences 9 to 90 years old!

"In a wondrous world of riddles and hidden treasure, bumbling Jack Hare is on a race against time to deliver a message of love from the Moon to the Sun. Far, far away in a world just like ours, a mother cheers her son Joe with the tale of Jack Hare's adventure. But when Jack's mission goes topsy-turvy, Joe and his mum must come to the rescue, and the line between the two worlds becomes blurred forever".

Students have not just been working in class but meeting on school holidays and pupil free days in order to create an unforgettable performance in just two and a half months of preparation.

Tickets can be purchased below OR from  the school website homepage link.
