THE ARTS

ALL SHOOK UP

What a show, what a week!  We could not be prouder of all the students for their commitment and dedication to the show and their performances last week were testament to that.

A massive thank you goes out to everyone who helped out with the show, both students and staff, and to all the parents who have supported and encouraged the kids along the way.

Saturday night’s blackout, resulting in the cancellation of the performance, was totally unexpected but we were so grateful that our school electrician Danny Spiden and Justin from maintenance were able to fix the problem early Sunday morning so that the kids could perform their closing night.  We are indebted to you both!

Thank you to our office staff who dealt with the crash of the school website so that updated information could be communicated to everyone.

Thank you to our dedicated crew, band as well as the Saturday night audience who braved the dark and cold with us and cheerfully returned on Sunday night. We are beyond grateful that we could run the show and allow the kids to perform one last time.  The resilience and positive spirit of everyone reminded us of how lucky we are to be teachers of such wonderful people in a terrific school.

We would also like to congratulate our Year 12 students who participated in their final high school production; Olivia Forsyth, Ben Barratt, Bianca Mundie, Jaydn Gifford, Alex Cossey, Lisa Cullen, Michael Dossett, Harrison McCarthy and Caity Walton. We thank you for your contributions and wish you every success for your adventures ahead.

As one of our cast members, so aptly put it…”stars can’t shine without darkness.”

Well done everybody! We hope to see you all back again next year!
