SNOWSPORTS SUCCESS
The Lilydale teams have absolutely rocked our recent Snowsport events, in the Victorian Championships.
Well done to Jet Harris, Lilly Smoel, Elise Fouracre and Chloe Varley for performing fantastic routines.
In the Victorian Interschool Snowsports Championships a big congratulations to Allan Rafferty, Michael Rafferty, Lilly Smoel and Sam Francis for their efforts in their Snowboard and Alpine divisions.
A big congratulations and good luck to Larissa Davies and Zoe Smoel who have made it through to the National Championships both individually and as a team for the Boarder Cross and Snowboard giant slalom events, which will be held on Sunday
13 September at Mt Buller. These two girls also won a bronze medal in the team event for Boarder Cross; not as easy feat! What a terrific effort!
SUCCESSFUL GIRL'S DAY AT
Melbourne University
In the final weeks of August, a select group of fantastic and successful girls took the train in to Melbourne University to get a taste of life after Lilydale with Miss Redgewell, Miss Stewart and Miss Higgins.
The day consisted of a super interesting presentation on what one could expect if they enrolled in a course and a tour around the school by a first year student member (did you know that you can join a Harry Potter club? Do you know they have a Wednesday farmer’s market?).
We then bought some lunch, chatted in the courtyard and discussed what it meant to be a successful woman in society, and what steps we each need to take to make sure that we achieve all that we are capable of.
It was a memorable day that certainly gave the girls motivation and a sense of self-determination.
As our motto for the day advised - ‘She believed she could, so she did.’
VALEDICTORY DINNER
The Lilydale High School Valedictory Dinner for 2015 will be held on Tuesday 8 December at “The Peninsula”, Docklands.
The Valedictory Dinner is a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate the conclusion of their school years and enjoy a relaxing night with their family and teachers. We encourage students to invite extended family and friends to attend the Dinner and share in the celebrations of “Six Years Together”.
Ticket purchases and payments are available online from the school website, until Tuesday 20 October, 5.00 pm (last day of Year 12 classes). Tickets are, $95 per person.

MASTER CLASSES UNITS 3/4
Yarra Valley Cluster Master Classes for Unit 3/4 subjects are a terrific opportunity for students to easily access revision lectures in your subject area to help prepare you for your exam. They're all held at Lilydale Heights College and are at a subsidised cost for you!
