WORK EXPERIENCE

Years 10 to 12

Students from Years 10 to 12 have the opportunity this year to undertake Work Experience to develop their awareness of appropriate attitudes and behaviour in real work environments, to explore employment and career options, to develop contacts with potential employers and to observe the use made of skills taught in school subjects.

Work Experience at Lilydale High School can occur at any time within the school year for up to 5 school days or 10 days, utilising part or all of the school holidays.

Students interested in completing Work Experience should speak with a Careers Practitioner who will inform them of the necessary processes and forms required to complete Work Experience.

MONASH GUARANTEE

The Monash Guarantee can provide a student with a course even if their ATAR is below the 2015 clearly-in.

Students who are financially disadvantaged, Indigenous Australians or completing Year 12 at a Monash under-represented school could be eligible for a guaranteed place at Monash – even if their ATAR is below the clearly-in.

EARLY ACHIEVERS' PROGRAM

As a Year 12 student, do you demonstrate leadership in your school or workplace, coordinate a community initiative, volunteer in a local cultural, sporting or religious group or provide care to someone in need?

Australian Catholic University's Early Achievers' Program (EAP) recognises a student's potential to achieve great things. Gaining a place in the desired course is dependent on meeting the University’s minimum entry requirements and subject prerequisites, regardless of success in the program.

Offers will be made by the end of November 2015.

Students are encouraged to start gathering their required documentation now to submit with along their application.

2016 EAP applications

  • Open – Monday 10 August
  • Close – Monday 19 October

UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE

Elite Athletes and Artistic Performers Entry Scheme

The university encourages international, national and state representation in sports and artistic performance and recognises the impact that training and participation may have on the ability to achieve admission into undergraduate and graduate coursework degrees.

The Elite Athletes and Artistic Performers Entry Scheme provides for additional consideration to be given for entry into degrees at the University of Melbourne by elite athletes and artistic performers who:

Meet the prerequisites of the course; and

  • Can demonstrate that their training, competition, performance and/or practice commitments have interfered with their previous studies.

The program supports our student athletes by providing flexible study assistance and a range of financial and in-kind assistance for their studies and sporting endeavours.

Scholarships are available once you have been accepted into the scheme.

Students interested in applying for the Entry Scheme must apply for a University of Melbourne undergraduate degree through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) and submit an additional application form to the University.

Applications for the Elite Athlete Entry Scheme 2016 are now open at:
